Never been to Pattaya and not sure just where it is ??
We are approx 120km south east of Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport and is approx a 1.5 hr trip down the motorway, depending on the traffic.
You can get here via a very cheap direct bus service or pay for a taxi (see note below) which will cost somewhere between 800 and 1200 baht.
However if you arrive into Bangkok via one of the Low Cost airlines you may find yourself at the old Don Mueang International Airport which is to the north east of Bangkok and it can take 2 hours to get here.
Some fortunate souls can now fly into Utapao-Rayong-Pattaya International Airport, located a mere 40 kms south east of Pattaya in Sattahip, but will depend largely what airline you fly with and where your flight departed from.
Accommodation in Pattaya ranges from 1 star all the way to 5 star, with something for everyone’s tastes and budgets.
During the low season, you can get a guest room or hotel room for as little as 500 baht per night or if you like a little luxury, you could easily splurge 3,000 baht per night.
Getting around in Pattaya is pretty easy with regular “Baht Buses” doing the rounds, just flag one down, hop in and pay 10 baht when you hop off.
(Note: It is reported that fares will increase to 20 baht from 1/1/17)
There are also Motor Bike taxis on just about every corner, they will take you directly to where you want to go, but will cost more than the baht buses.
Being a beach side holiday city, there is almost anything and everything you can think of to do here if you want to make a holiday of attending the Thai Nash Hash 2017.
Beer Bars and night clubs are everywhere you look here and being hashers, we are sure you will find the Beer Bars to your liking.
